Power tool impact drill can not only rotating but also shocks. It comes with an adjustable mechanism, when the adjustment ring is rotated in the non-impact position, can fitted with metal twist drill in impact drill. When the adjustment ring in the rotational position, can fitted with carbide drill bit, then can drill holes in brick, concrete walls or roof.
Usually electric drill only has rotary manner, particularly suited to drill hole in as cork, metal, brick, tile, etc., while the impact drill is generic, as they can either use the "single drill" mode, also can use the "impact drilling" mode.
General case, Impact drill can not be used as a electric drill:1. when using the impact drill, it is not easy to grasp, prone to misuse to drill a big hole; 2. drill bits is not sharp, so that the hole is not neat, may have burrs or cracks appear; 3. Even with the transfer switch, try not to drill holes, unless you use special wood drill bit.
